Update- 6/08

A long time coming, wouldn't you agree?

Dawson is doing very well, he was taken off of Cpap last Monday and has been thriving on the nasal cannula. He likes to hang out right between 21-25% oxygen, and .2 liters, which I have been led to believe is very low support. A whole new round of numbers and settings to get used it, but he is so happy to be rid of the scuba gear!

As of today his feedings have also increased to 6ml/hour, which works out to about 4.8 ounces a day. And, drum roll please...Dawson now weighs 2.8 ounces...we have a 2 and a half pound baby!! YAY!! His breast milk is still being fortified with 24 calorie supplements, and he get MCT oil 3x/day.

DH and I are now in charge of his daily cares, including baths every other day and diapers when we can. We are also able to hold him each time we visit, sometimes for an hour or more. I have also had a few rounds of sucessful kangaroo care sessions, which I LOVE. But something about Dawson being nekkid (well, just a diaper) causes him to be quite the wiggle worm, which sets off the alarm, so for now I just hold him whenever I can.

Wide awake during Kangaroo Care (back when he was on Cpap)

All tuckered out, and enjoying his cannula (Look at the difference from the last picture to this one, only about a weeks time)

Sleepy boy. Love Him!!

Oh you know..just chillen out!

Snug as a bug in a rug, cuddle time with mama!
